It's too bad that the main Volume knob doesn't click into a Power Off mode when turned to zero, as it does on most of the other PC speakers I've seen. Main and Subwoofer Volume knobs sit along a plastic panel, along with a green Power LED, below the right speaker's grille. The black cloth grilles are removable, revealing a 0.75-inch tweeter and 3-inch woofer in each speaker. The ProMedia 2.1 Wireless packs so much power you'll rarely raise the volume beyond half-way, the audio is superb, and it requires no physical connection to your computer.Įach of the two black plastic stereo speaker measures 8.5 by 4.2 by 5.67-inches (HWD), and sits on a one-inch stands that angles it slightly upward. Thing is, you won't care about what I just said once you turn the speakers on to listen to your favorite music. It would also be nice to have a power switch somewhere within easy reach-not on the subwoofer, which is likely to sit on the floor. First off, for this price, I expect a remote control-there isn't one. When computer speakers sound as good as the $199 (direct) Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Wireless speakers do, it seems almost silly to complain about shortcomings-but since the system costs a considerable $200, I'm going to.
