![]() ![]() ![]() Im a native Arabic speaker, so no wonder I can speak it with any. I feel lost sometimes not really taking in the words because it's difficult to distinguish the individual letters. Yeah it is written from a native English speaker, as it says on the table in the blue sections. Most people dont need to master all, or even most, of the levels. The levels are labeled A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2, and they cover increasingly complex language needs. While Duolingo tries to gamify the learning experience and make it fun, Rosetta Stone leans on visual exercises and killer voice recognition software. Bear in mind that its in open beta, so there are bound to be translation gaps. At Duolingo, we use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to set goals for different proficiency levels when we design our courses. Learn Arabic in just 5 minutes a day with our game-like lessons. Now I'm on the 7th lesson having completed the prior 6 to legendary status and it's showing me letters I've not seen before, with no description of how to pronounce them, or even the different ways they can be written (start/middle/end placement in a word can look totally different). The Arabic course just released like 3 or 4 days ago, so its still being evaluated. This application offers Levantine Arabic also known as Eastern, Egyptian, and Modern Standard Arabic, which are the most spoken amongst Arabic speakers. I do more 'learn the letters' sessions than actual lessons but they keep repeating the same few letters. I'm over half way through unit 1 of English to Arabic, there were only 4 alphabet levels to start that didn't even cover all the letters. ![]()
